Dr Ward,

Thank you for your part in my new career!

A.C.

Dear Dr. Ward,

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the results of my surgery. You have an incredible gift as a surgeon to see and do what looks good and natural.

I had consultations with other doctors and talked to several people before deciding on who I wanted to do my surgery. Thankfully I went with the best.

Your office staff always treated me professionally and very kindly. They are great. What a wonderful experience I had because of you and your staff.

I am so thrilled with my surgery!

Sincerely,
C.

P.S.
Thanks so much for the beautiful flowers!

Dear Dr. Ward,

Thank you very much for extending the professional discount to me. Your generosity has enabled a “working girl” to make a dream a reality.

Thanks again - I am excited!

Hello Dr. Ward,

I’m sending you some photos from my wedding in October. Thanks for helping me land this wonderful guy for a husband. I know my “improved” looks helped get him to notice me. He said he was looking for an older woman, but he thought that I was in my late 40’s or maybe 50. But when I told him I’m 58, he didn’t get scared off-he’s 43. Anyway, I think it’s a great match and he loves the way I look-so do I!

Take care of my friend who is having surgery soon. I know you will. She thinks I look so good she had to do a little improving herself!

Thanks again! I’ll stop in some time when I’m in Phoenix,
B.

I appreciate your kindness and support from you and your office. Everyone was very helpful. Surprisingly it has been a fairly pleasant ordeal. I believe it is due to your expert work. I feel very confident I will be very happy with my new look!

Thanks for putting up with all my questions and concerns and being so patient with me.

Also thanks for the beautiful flowers. Looking at them everyday brightens each day of my healing.

Thanks again to you and everyone in your office!

Thanks so much for everything.
D.

Dear Dr. Ward:

I just wanted to take a few minutes today to send a special note of thanks to you. You’ve taken wonderful care of me these past few months and made me feel “special” no matter how small my concerns have been. This surgery has already helped me feel good enough to make major changes in my life and I’m happier now than I can ever remember being.

There will be a special place in my heart for you…

Bless you and I’ll see you soon,
J.

Dr. Ward, Pam, Charlotte, Summer, and Mary

First of all, thank you for the beautiful flowers.

Second, thank you for the amazing customer service. I’ll be doing my best to send as many people as I can your way.

Third, thank you ALL for my beautiful body! For the first time in my life, I look in the mirror and LOVE what I see. There is no price that can be placed on this happiness.

Dear Dr. Ward,

I have to take a moment to thank you for helping me achieve that young and sassy look. More importantly, I want to thank you and your staff for the kindness, patience, and understanding and personal attention during my recent surgery (and pre-and post-evaluations).

Everyone was wonderful to work with from the start to finish. As you know, I was a bit “keyed” up with anticipation prior to the procedure- it is a big step! I appreciate that everyone (including the anesthesiologist) had a good sense of humor-that means a lot to a busy soul like myself. The reassurances, quality of care and time taken for each patient is an extra special touch. All of you are to be commended.

Thanks for making me feel a lot better about how I look these days!

Sincerely,
F.

I am 67 years old and like most women conscientious about my appearance. However, unlike many women pushing 70 I make a determined effort to keep myself in the best physical shape possible. I watch what I eat and exercise daily using weights.

But, regardless of what women do to take care of themselves we cannot stop the aging process. That is when I talked to Dr. John Ward and the results were phenomenal.

What Mother Nature took away, Dr. Ward put back! This superbly skilled surgeon is no less than miraculous!

Thank you! Thank you, Dr. Ward!
D.F.

Dear Dr. Ward and Staff,

In regards to my face lift you performed 3 months ago, people now smile at me as they walk past. They used to give me dirty looks and I couldn’t figure out why. It wasn’t until I saw my before picture that I realized why they looked at me that way. I looked mad at the world and didn’t even know it. That certainly was not how I felt inside.

Dr. ward gave me back my youthful look, the way I looked in high school and that’s huge for a girl now of 48!

How can I ever thank you Dr. Ward? I am being good to my skin now…I have found a skin care line and a make-up line, I don’t just use a bar of soap anymore.

Dr. Ward thank you so much for turning me from a “Hagatha” into the pretty girl I used to be.

I also don’t feel self conscious about not wearing make-up in public anymore. WOW, what a difference you have made in me with your talented gift.

Please don’t ever retire!! WE NEED YOU! Most of all please know that I appreciate you and your staff. I have really only dealt with Mary and she has such a wonderful sense of humor. She is always up-beat and funny, she makes me laugh. She is a valuable asset to your practice.

Sincerely,
L.W.

"I chose Dr. Ward of Phoenix because his staff is top rate! All of my emails were answered promptly and I did all of my business with them by email- from Baghdad and Kuwait. Since the Army is a little tightfisted and with expensive tests, I had to schedule my mammogram with a civilian clinic. Dr. Ward’s office took care of that as well. Once I arrived in Phoenix for my leave (vacation), the ball started rolling. Dr. Ward has a fabulous sense of humor and that’s very important to me. My consult went very well, and I got to “try on implants” until we got to a mutually agreeable size. I completely trusted him. The surgical facility was comfortable and everything went smoothly. The nurses were kind and patient. My anesthesiologists, apparently has a reputation for “no post op sickness” and I helped keep that record."

Warmest regards,
SSG K.

"Dr. Ward did an awesome job. I was off pain meds after day 3 and am already back to work. I’m a nanny for two little ones. I went under the muscle, 585cc, crease, smooth, round. I love them. I had no bruising at all, and very minimal swelling. I am so thrilled with his work. He had the best bedside manner of any of the ps’s I had consults with. I had about ten consults scheduled after him, and cancelled them all the day I left his office. I called the next day to schedule my surgery and put down my money for my date. I have nothing but good things to say about him. Also, his anesthesiologist was awesome. He’s been using the same one for 17 years. This was the most awesome experience of my life."

Thanks,
B.

"A special thanks to you, Dr. Ward! You are not only the best plastic surgeon, but a caring and nice person."
P.S.

"You really are a wonderful office. Thank you for the lovely flowers and the kindness given to me at your office."

Dear Dr. Ward,

I want to express my sincere gratitude to you for the EXCELLENT work you performed on my recent surgeries. But somehow a simple "thank you" just doesn't seem to be sufficient to express how I feel. Dr. Ward, I know you have helped so many people in many different ways over the years, but I wanted to share a bit of my personal background with you so you would perhaps have a better understanding of the profound impact this has made on my life.

As you know, I have lost over 320 lbs., truly the most difficult and rewarding accomplishment of my life. I have always been overweight, however my first pregnancy seemed to send my weight out of control. When I was in my thirties, I found a scale that could weigh me and was shocked to find I was over 400 lbs.

Being morbidly obese has its unique challenges. I couldn't easily tie my shoes, do the laundry, walk a block or even climb a flight of stairs without extreme difficulty. Airline and theatre seats were impossible to fit into, mirrors and photos were unkind so I avoided them wherever possible. I frequently broke furniture and toilet seats. I could not reach parts of my body so good personal hygiene was impossible. I could never escape my "problem" as it was always on display for all to see and judge. I wanted to be invisible so would often hide in the backs of rooms or even walk several paces behind my family when we would attend social events so that no one would know I was my kids' mom. As difficult as all of this was, the worst thing was the guilt I felt because of the heartache and worry I brought on my family.

It's not that I didn't try to get the weight off. Over the years, I tried every diet and spent literally thousands of dollars on gimmicks that ultimately packed even more weight on. I'm fortunate to have a family who supported me, as many do not. However, the constant worry and shame they felt about me was almost too much to bear. I finally came to the realization that I would probably not live to see my sons grow up unless I did something drastic. My husband and I invested our retirement savings in gastric segmentation surgery to save my life. The night before surgery I had reached my highest weight of 478 lbs. I committed to getting the weight off and never looking back. After the surgery I realized this would not be a quick fix and I would still have to work hard at it.

The weight did come off, but it took nearly five years to do it. As great of an accomplishment as that was, I then had a lot of excess skin to contend with. When I entered your office in December of 2005, all I was looking for was a functional body that could fit into normal clothing. The skin on my abdomen hung onto my thighs, and my arms had "wings." I had to stuff whatever excess skin that was left of my breasts into my bra.
I had the skin removed from my abdomen first. What I didn't expect is that my self esteem and confidence would sky rocket, as I felt feminine and beautiful for the first time in my life. Then I had the excess skin on my arms removed and my breasts lifted and augmented. I now feel as beautiful on the outside as on the inside. I used to want nothing more than to be "normal" and blend in with the crowd, but now feel beautiful and proud to put myself out there for all to see and hear!

Dr. Ward, you truly have made what I only thought was possible in my dreams, come true. There are so many who have helped me get to where I am, but you opened the final door. I have to pinch myself everyday to know this has really happened to me. My next goal is to shift into a career where I can help others who have obesity issues. After all, I'm living proof that it is possible to achieve what seems impossible. Yesterday, I signed up for a class that will hopefully earn my acceptance into the Masters in Counseling program at the University of Phoenix. Please don't ever take for granted the job that you do. Even though your patient encounters are brief, you change the life of every person that walks through your door. I just wanted to let you know how you've changed mine.

Sincerely,
D.T.
