Cosmetic Surgery Patient Resources

INFORMATION FOR OUT-OF-TOWN COSMETIC SURGERY PATIENTS

Patients frequently visit our Paradise Valley Cosmetic Surgery Center from out of state. We make every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Here are some helpful suggestions to maximize your comfort and minimize your time away from home.

1. We will require that you complete a general office information sheet and a history and physical sheet prior to your office appointment. It is important to include if you are a smoker and your use of medications prescribed as well  as over the counter and herbal products. For some surgeries, such as a facelift, Dr. Ward requires you to stop smoking for at least 2-3 weeks prior to the surgery. We will review your use of medications and evaluate usage before surgery. PLEASE NO ASPIRIN OR ASPIRIN PRODUCTS for at least two weeks prior to surgery. Patients 35 and older are  required to have a mammogram prior to breast surgery.
2. For your convenience, we have arranged for special guest rates with nice and reasonable hotels close to our office and surgical facilities. Please inquire about over-night stay with our receptionist, or download  Dr. Ward's Guide for Out-of-Town Guests.
3. Sending a recent photo of the patient is very helpful so Dr. Ward will have an idea of how he will best be able to help you when you arrive for the office consultation.

PHOTO SUBMISSION TIPS

• Photos should be taken in good lighting.
• Photos should be against a dark background.

Breast Photos

• Please send 3 photos: front, left and right side (with arms at your side).

Face Photos

• Please send 3 photos of your face: front, left and right side.    
• Be sure to show neck.   
• If you are inquiring about other areas of the face (i.e. eyelids, forehead, etc.) please take close up photos.   
• For nose photos, please include a 45 degree angle photo

Body Photos

• Please send front, back, and two side views of the areas requiring surgery.
