Dr. Ward and Staff

Double board certified Phoenix cosmetic surgeon Dr. John A. D. Ward graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Ward completed five years of general surgery residency followed by two years of plastic surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and is an active member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Ward has been in private practice in Phoenix for over 20 years.

Philosophy

Our goal is to provide you with personalized care and attention. Dr. Ward will spend time with you to diagnose your problem and determine the proper treatment, and will make every effort to help you and answer all of your questions.

Dr. Ward provides a lengthy, private consultation with each patient. He will explain all of your options in detail, including plastic surgery costs, risk, recovery time, and the realistic outcome. A portfolio of patients both pre- and post-operation is reviewed with each patient. The office has a network of satisfied patients available to discuss your cosmetic surgery procedure and their personal experience. Dr. Ward’s practice is based primarily on referrals from other physicians and patients. Dr. Ward has been in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona since 1986.

Community Support

Dr. Ward and his wife Pam have been actively involved with Phoenix Community charities over  the last 25 years.  Their main focus has been for charities that support women, children and the elderly such as Crisis Nursery and the Board of Visitors charities.   They have a love for animals and are currently proud owners of an English bulldog named Professor Higgins.   Dr. Ward participates in the Circle of Friends for the Humane Society and his wife is a guardian for Liberty Wildlife, a group that rescues birds, in Arizona.

Hobbies

Dr. Ward has many interests outside his professional cosmetic surgery practice. He is a father of three children and dedicates the majority of his time educating and traveling with this family. He loves being outdoors and has spent several years canoeing and fishing with his boys, in the boundary waters of Canada. He enjoys hiking the mountains near his home and exercising whenever possible. He greatly enjoys entertaining friends and is known to be a self-taught gourmet cook. His greatest gift is his sense of humor and his ability to recognize talents in others. He has recently joined the fly-fishing world and travels to nearby lakes and rivers. Some of his best times have been with his family vacationing in Mexico and fly-fishing.
